On The Road Again!

      Quite a few of the RV’ers leave Chico in the winter for warmer climates. A few hearty souls were left to help Claudia Jenkins and Jim Glander take down the Christmas decorations. A giant “THANK YOU!” goes to them!
     Meanwhile back at the barn, we’ve hung up our spurs and put away the boots after a great foot-stompin’ time at the Western Night hoedown.
     Dick and Jeanne Gray are spearheading our trip to Calistoga, February 18th to the 21st. Besides a catered Tri-tip dinner, tours and golf, there are many wineries in the area. You won’t be looking for something to do.
     March 18th to the 21st, you will find the RV’ers in Benbow. Faith and begorra, ‘tis Saint Patrick’s Day on the 17th and there’ll be plenty of corned beef and cabbage to celebrate.
     Rain or shine, Tom and Linda Vanella will lead us to Colusa, April 22nd to the 25th . In fact, to thumb our noses at possible rain, we’ll have decorated umbrellas. A contest for the most creative umbrella will be held.
     Check your Elkhorn Press bulletin for all of the February activities at the Lodge, including the Members Only Crab Feed, Super Bowl Party and the Old-Timers’ Night. Also February will be the month that the Lodge members will be nominating and electing the new slate of officers for 2010-2011 Lodge year. Nominations will be at the February 10th Lodge meeting and the election will be at the February 24th Lodge meeting. Try to attend and support your candidate.
