Scholarship News

   Erin Junge-Dewell, Scholarship Chairperson, Chico Elks Lodge #423 reported that the 2010 Merit Scholarships have been awarded. The Lodge gives two $500 awards;
Casey Hughes, sponsored by Richard Hughes, was the recipient of the Boy’s Merit Scholarship. The Girl’s Merit Scholarship was awarded to Rachelle Currier, sponsored
by Harold Currier. Congratulations to both of these fine students.
   Gloria Bickley, Scholarship Chairperson for the Chico Elks Ladies reported that their groups had earned enough money to award five separate scholarships. Casey
Hughes, grandson of Richard Hughes, and Rachelle Currier, Granddaughter of Harold & Ann Currier, received the two scholarships from the Chico Elks Ladies.
   In addition three scholarships were given out by the Chico Craft Ladies: Tim Honeycut, Grandson of Margaret & the late Mike Rupert; Amber Ross, Granddaughter of
Frank & Joan Marler; and Brianne Bodenham, Granddaughter of Harold & Gloria Bickley, were awarded these scholarships.
